My client is one of the fast growing businesses active in more than 50 countries, based in the heart of the city they are now looking to continue expansion are looking for an experienced Sponsorship Sales professional.

 

Key Characteristics’

You will be passionate, dedicated, and knowledgeable about selling smart, profitable, and industry-leading conferences and have proven and comprehensive experience of applying efficient and effective processes to selling your own successful conference portfolio.

 

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for the execution of business-to-business sponsorship sales campaigns; the ideal candidate will be both analytical and creative and have the ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a timely manner.

                                                                        

Required Deliverables in the Role

  • Conducting thorough analysis of the vendor landscape (including but not limited to: market research to ensure that you understand the dimensions of the vendor/client relationships in the market relevant to your events, target market segmentation, identification of industry trends; and monitoring competitive event  performance, cost, and market penetration)
  • Working with our internal database to select and accurately target vendor organisations, including building and/or filling in the gaps in our vendor database and specific contact list development
  • Developing sales plans as specified as well as coordinating ongoing sales initiatives, including coordination with the conferences’ marketing managers of the sponsorship marketing (online and offline) campaign and relationships with relevant external partners that can help promote the events to vendors
  • Developing and managing a budget for each event sponsorship sales campaign
  • Attending the conference with the objective of resigning and/or gaining commitment from a high proportion of the current sponsors for the following year’s event

 

Skills Required

  • Extensive experience in B2B conference sponsorship sales.
  • Experience in the use of databases in both mass and targeted sales campaigns
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Sound commercial awareness, excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects to tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Highly motivated and proactive
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines
