My client… Is a leading global B2B conferences focused on growth markets and technology innovation, focused around Life Sciences & Technology. Through continued expansion a role has arisen for a talented Marketer with a background in Life Science (Biotech or Pharma growing their expanding portfolio of industry leading life science business conferences.


The Role… requires someone who has a strong grasp of marketing fundamentals and is looking to stretch their entrepreneurial and leadership side. The role will take responsibility for creating and developing segmented marketing messaging, content, literature, digital marketing, social marketing and sales materials to customers from Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Academic Research and Clinical industries


The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Marketing you will be responsible for developing and delivering cohesive marketing campaigns that engage relevant business audiences and achieve delegate revenue targets. Responsibilities include:

  • Response analysis and strategy formulation for each event
  • Creation of on point messaging, branding and content to effectively communicate the conference value proposition across all channels, including web and email
  • Building long term partnerships with key industry marketing partners and associations
  • Utilising all key digital marketing tools including SEO, Paid Search and Socia
  • Utilizing the CRM contact database and generating list build strategies
  • Continually coming up with creative approaches that make our events engaging, memorable and impactful
  • Managing the events marketing budget
  • Collaborating closely across production/ research and sales functions


The Person:

  • Will possess minimum an upper second class BSc level education in a life science or relevant science discipline
  • Strong grasp of life science research and pharmaceuticals markets
  • Experience using digital marketing for life science products
  • Good industry understanding for life sciences or clinical diagnostics of client behaviours around these platforms
  • Ability to write crisp engaging marketing copy for a technical/scientific audience
  • Highly organized, methodical and process-driven
  • Expert in successful negotiation tactics with senior media individuals
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Track record of delivering campaigns/ projects to deadline and budget
  • Results-driven – ensure that events plan fulfils strategic goals and drives the required business results
  • Rock solid end-to-end marketing plan management
  • Very strong interpersonal skills – ability to engage and influence a range of people and characters
