My client provides one of the biggest events to the Finance Industry leading portfolios and includes the biggest and best flagship conference which runs to the US. As a sponsorship lead for the portfolio, you will also be part of the team and will need to develop good collaborations with production, marketing, operations and delegate sales, working as a team to get the best results.


Role and responsibility:

  • Sponsorship lead for the portfolio, working with the Commercial Director and Portfolio to ensure pricing is set, collateral produced and that the account managers are informed of developments so they can sell to their accounts.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the suppliers looking to research and build campaigns to prospect for new clients.
  • Prepare email marketing copy for this target market, following up with calls. In the absence of face-to-face meetings, they are doing a lot of zoom calls now but there is still a lot of telephone calling.
  • Lead discussions with potential clients about their business.
  • Identify, prioritise and qualify opportunities using methodology and keeping Salesforce up to date.
  • Prepare proposals to generate new business.
  • Handle inbound enquiries.
  • Work closely with other teams across the company.



  • Revenue generation with year-on-year growth


Key skills

We would like somebody who has sponsorship sales experience, gained within conference sponsorship.

  • Demonstrate an interest in business and have good commercial awareness.
  • Be naturally inquisitive in order to probe critical information from their contacts.
  • Show tenacity and determination to succeed.
  • Demonstrate the ability to build trust with clients and be able to sell in an open and honest manner.
  • Have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Be an effective time manager.
  • Salesforce experience desirable but not essential


Key qualifications: good academic record or exceptional experience
