The Client… My client organises world leading business events & training courses to important business sectors Inc. Finance, Government, HR, Legal & Management.


The Role… of the Head of Marketing is to develop, implement and lead all facets of marketing, communications and public relations in a B2B environment. The role focus is on developing strategies to assist in the development of the business and products of the business. This role is responsible for leading for marketing function from the development to the implementation of marketing strategies.


Roles and Responsibilities

  1. Marketing, Communication and Public Relations
  • Plan, develop and implement comprehensive and effective marketing strategies
  • Measure the success of marketing activities and provide recommendations on improvements; where possible
  • Working across the organisation to ensure a consistent branding and marketing approach
  • Execute marketing activities on time and within budget
  • Working with the Digital Marketer to deliver digital lead generation projects and social media presence
  • Provide advice to sales team members on target market and sales pitch to drive delegate and sponsor sales


  1. Business Unit
  • Working with the Managing Director to ensure the efficient operations of the business unit
  • Monitor business outputs in terms of quality and quantity
  • Assist in the recruitment and performance management of the staff
  • Working with the Managing director and HR Mangers to facilitate staff retention


  1. Budget
  • Set marketing and resourcing budgets in accordance with event requirements
  • Proactively monitor marketing budget spends


  1. Team Management
  • Lead and develop the marketing team
  • Mentor team members in their career growth
  • Proactively manage team members’ performance and action under performance in a timely manner
  • Set team and individuals goals and Key Performance Indicators


Experience…6+ years’ experience in a B2B Marketing Role

3+ years’ experience in a senior level marketing role

3+ years’ experience in a business leadership role

Education and Professional Qualifications

Postgraduate degree in Marketing or related field
