Right from day one, you will be given maximum responsibility for marketing the events in our portfolio, shaping our marketing strategy for the future for the whole organisation.

As a Marketing Manager currently, you will be highly motivated with solid direct and online marketing experience. You will have experience of working in a fast-paced environment, can give examples of generating revenue from marketing activity, and ideally come from a conferences background. You’ll be used to collaborative working in a team environment, and be able demonstrate evidence of excellent working relationships.

Key responsibilities will of course include:

  • Plan, develop and implement cost effective, targeted marketing campaigns, making decisions on tactics, setting deadlines and managing timelines to maximise lead times
  • Manage dynamic budgets, track and monitor spend and ensure that spend is allocated in the correct places to maximise ROI
  • Use analysis, past plans and good judgement to develop optimal marketing mix for each plan
  • Investigate all sources mentioned on the conference brief and pursues all relevant associations for endorsement
  • Seek out all available internal sources of lists and media
  • KPI Reporting for each event and detailed analysis of campaign results to demonstrate ROI by medium and provide feedback on performance against plan
  • Identifying the most appropriate marketing mediums to deliver your product whilst maximising ROI. Forging relationships with external partners and work with other departments within the event teams to plan and manage budgets, review data and build and maintain event websites.
  • Using your copywriting skills to write effective copy and create social media campaigns.
  • Monitoring all marketing response and complete marketing analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to negotiate and influence.
  • High attention to detail is a must with plenty of drive and enthusiasm to deliver first class marketing campaigns.

You will need to demonstrate experience within a b2b direct marketing environment preferably within the conference and exhibition sector.
