My client is a niche media business specialising in the Investment Banking, Metals & Mining, and Project Finance sectors.  Due to expansion a new role has arisen for a talented & high achieving Sales Director to support the client’s growing business in the Latin America Capital Markets and the Metals & Mining sectors.  This will involve managing a team of 4 & looking to take sales achievements beyond the £2 million mark.


The role will initially involve actively selling to the Global Metals and Mining sector, and to work with the Managing Director, Head of Programmes and Head of Marketing on strategy and execution of sales for our Americas business, including the selling of ancillary products:

  • Magazine advertising/advertorial
  • Webinars
  • Roundtables


Skills Required:

We are looking for an outstanding candidate who has a track-record of success, and now looking to fast-track their careers forward by taking on an ambitious role with prospects for high earnings and development over the coming 3 years.


Knowledge and experience selling to the following will be an advantage but not essential:

  • Banks and Financial Institutions
  • Mining Companies & Suppliers to the Mining Industry
  • In the Americas (North and South America)
  • To New York-based clients
  • Language knowledge: Spanish and/or Portuguese Advantageous


Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience of production and programming will be beneficial but not essential
  • Strong sales track record (demonstrate strong sales figures or evidence of your impact in growing a lower revenue generating product/service into a higher revenue generator)
  • To have a level of understanding of sales to be able to take customers through the complete sales process
  • Understanding and ability to explain a sales methodology or strategy (we want to know how you sell – whatever the style/approach may be)
  • Confidence of selling over the phone (Av. 5 hours per week on the phone) and face-face

  • Organise and manage your time, activities, leads and pipelines
  • Report weekly on your pipelines
  • Work closely with Marketing, Programmes and Market Insights in order to “fast-track” your understanding of our markets, our business, and how Departments work together to achieve success
  • “Hit the ground running” and hit the phones from Week One
