The Client…Is an award-winning conference business across the Life Sciences sector, due to expansion a role has arisen for an experienced Conference Director from the sector who has produced whilst leading a team.
The Role…
For this role, the client requires an intelligent, experienced, ambitious and pro-active leader, who is looking for an opportunity to take ownership of a successfully & globally renowned Life Sciences portfolio to deliver both revenue growth and a market leading position.
Content & Product Development
Influence direction and shape of the Life Science portfolio, including both events and additional revenue streams such as reports/webinars etc.
Develop deep understanding of the marketplace, to be able to read and comment on trends, cycles, buying patterns etc and be a resource for both your clients and colleagues.
Lead from the front in terms of the team regarding topic generation and validation from a commercial perspective and support Sales and Marketing Directors and Producers
Revenue
Work actively to scale overall portfolio revenue across multiple Life Science events from 2021 onwards.
Develop deep working relationships with analysts, investors, large corporates and new start-ups in the sector.
Support sales teams in growing revenue from existing accounts, increasing both average spend and frequency of spend across portfolio.
Support the development of new business from cold.
Set sales targets and consistently deliver against monthly, quarterly, annual and event targets.
Internal
Lead by example in generating topics, enforcing quality research processes and collaboration with marketing, sales and ops functions.
Responsibility for hiring producers/researchers/analysts for the portfolio/s
Input into marketing campaign to generate leads and opportunities.
Develop strong working relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
