  Conference Content Producer (10 Month Fixed Term Contract) – London

The Role… My client is seeking an energetic and self-motivated Content Producer to work within a small but dynamic event content team. You will be responsible for producing key streams for the clients Flagship Conference (1000+ delegates & is regarded as the biggest within the sector. This role is a fascinating blend of research, creativity, marketing and key stakeholder management and an opportunity to work with the team to reinvent the programme and audience experience. Working together with key stakeholders and consultants, you will be responsible for acquiring and managing speakers. In addition to the annual conference, your focus will be on working with the Content Team to help deliver a connected & flexible content framework – integrating live content and editorial content all year round and developing live and digital event opportunities within the market to engage with new audiences.


Key Responsibilities

Conference Production

  • Conduct comprehensive desktop, telephone and face to face research, whilst testing and balancing editorial input to ensure the right content and speakers be delivered for the event.
  • Construct and write high quality benefit-driven programmes which relate to the results of the research
  • Ensure that the programme is ‘weighted’ to reflect the top issues in the market
  • Identify and secure high-profile speakers from the media, entertainment and technology industry and adjacent markets
  • Guarantee that all speakers are given a comprehensive brief to ensure they deliver insight requested by the market during the research
  • Conduct competitor research and analysis to identify new gaps in the market


Marketing & Sales

  • Collaborate with marketing, sponsorship and sales teams to drive revenue growth
  • Write clear marketing and sales briefs to lead marketing and sales teams in creating compelling materials for successful marketing and sales campaigns to meet event revenue goals
  • Identify, develop and maintain relationships with industry contacts and collaborate with marketing and sales to nurture these
  • Write and/or brief copywriters to ensure that all copy is relevant, fresh and conveys the correct message
  • Work with the Marketing Team to define target audiences and create communications material that will drive bookings for

Stakeholder Management

  • Work with a Content Steering Group to develop content products across the portfolio
  • Regularly provide communications and update reports on content for Senior Content Producer
  • Work with the Head of Event Content to identify content opportunities for new events/conferences


Key skills and competencies

You must:

  • Have great research skills and be confident in tackling new content topics
  • Have a unique blend of editorial research, conference/event production, planning and people skills
  • Have good editorial judgement, as well as strong commercial acumen
  • Have the ability to influence, negotiate and build rapport with senior
