Synopsis of Role

Following a period of sustained growth, my client is looking for an experienced, analytical and client focused relationship manager to take on a newly formed part of the business. The role will involve selling  Market Research & Branding tools to the Energy & Finance industry, being the lead sales person for driving business forward, this is a great opportunity to grow a business which will include career progression & promotions as the business grows. The right candidate can be based anywhere in Europe (languages advantageous)

 

Candidate Expertise

The right candidate will be an ambitious self-starter, with proven sales and business development experience ideally either from a Market Research, Statistics or Energy Intelligence backgrounds.  The right candidate will be looking to join a fast-growing business and gain a valuable insight into the changing dynamics that exist within the growing Energy branding sector.

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Deliver sales forecasts and maintain the current trajectory of financial growth, working to agreed quarterly targets in accordance with the plan.
  • Initially more new business development growing into more of a split role after 6 months, not a cold calling role more a targeted call-plan.
  • Immerse yourself in the brand energy market and key sub-sectors, to enable good familiarity with our growing community interests, aims and goals
  • Establishing a strong working relationship with the MD, Project Manager & Operations Manager, to accelerate community engagement
  • Planning and strategic direction, working alongside the managing director, director of operations, and editor to shape the direction of the business
  • Targeting the UK Market to start off with a view to European expansion.

 

Key Skills & Attributes

The right candidate will have a strong record of performance in sponsorship sales, meeting/exceeding targets and growing accounts year on year.  They will also –

  • Be educated to degree level
  • Have at least 3 years sales experience within Market Research, Branding or Energy Business Intelligence
  • Have a proven ability to mentor other sales members.
  • Have either commercial expertise or an interest in the Energy market.
  • Have experience using Hubspot and a strong digital competency
  • Be confident in building and developing strong senior client relationships through new business & existing clients.
  • Offer strong account management, project management and organisation skills
  • Have flexibility and a willingness for international travel
  • Understand how to grow a business from its infancy.
